IAC valve? The AAC valve increases the engine idle speed until the engine warms up and then the IAC is supposed to take over, provided it's clean, working properly and the manual idle speed adjustment is set low enough to allow the IAC to control the engine idle speed (should be about 675 rpms with the engine fully warmed up, the transmission in D and fully stopped with your foot on the brake).

Any suggested reasons, Mechanics check it many times but failed to know the reasons, months after months and the car go from a mechanic shop to other and no solution.

The truck runs fine when running cold but when it warms up it starts sputtering like it wants to stall when braking for a red light or even slowing down it sputters. The check engine light came on and the codes were for both the cam shaft position timing sensors both bank 1 and 2 being over retarded.

Diesel engines use glow plugs on startup to cause ignition of diesel fuel. Glow plugs provide heat to ignite diesel fuel. Once the engine is warmed up, the glow plugs are not needed as the heat of the engine causes ignition of diesel fuel. When a glow plug is bad, a diesel engine will produce smoke at startup until the engine has warmed up.

Aug 27, 2009 · When starting the car in the morning the car won't go over 15mph and hesitates,stutters etc. After about 10 minutes it starts to go 35 to 40mph. After about 20 minutes worrying about a collision it will gradually statr o increase the speed to where it will go 70 on the highway but still sputtering now and then. This happens every day.
